By 1956 it was designing large multi-storey developments typified by the five-building, Brentwood Towers complex at Davisville and Yonge Street in Toronto. By the early 1960's it was working on some of downtown Toronto's major office building projects such as the prestigous National Trust Building.
In 1970, with the firm's reputation established and the organization recognized as able to handle virtually any structural engineering assignment, the ownership was changed once more to give the Canadian engineers a 50% interest in the company. During the next few years the firm's principals confirmed their rapidly growing personal reputation for the handling of difficult assignments by developing three different commercial building systems and travelling extensively throughout North and Central America and Europe to find the most sophisticated solutions to client's problems. In 1973 the Canadian employees of the firm again increased their holdings to obtain complete control of the company. In January 1980 the name of the firm was changed to Jablonsky Associates.
In 1988, to reflect a further adjustment in management responsibilities as well as the coming of a new generation of principals, the company name was changed to Jablonsky, Ast and Partners Consulting Engineers.
